What is Kangen Water?

Kangen means “return to origin” in Japanese. Kangen Water® is alkaline ionized water produced by Enagic’s water ionizer and filtration machines. For more than five decades, Kangen Water has been used in Japan to transform ordinary tap water into fresh, clean, alkaline drinking water.

Through advanced electrolysis technology, these machines convert tap water into great-tasting alkaline water while retaining beneficial natural minerals. Through the process of electrolysis inside a water ionizer, ordinary tap water becomes hydrogen-rich Kangen Water. This hydrogen content contributes to the antioxidant potential associated with ionized alkaline water.

Antioxidant Potential

Negative ORP

In general terms, water with a positive ORP is often useful for cleaning and sanitizing, while water with a negative ORP is preferred for drinking.
